Privacy Policy

The Café Français website (advas.ca) is operated by ADVAS Langues, a sole proprietorship of Ms. Adriana Vasques, based in Sherbrooke, Quebec. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are — in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector ("Law 25").
1. Information we collect
We only collect information you provide to us voluntarily:
- Contact form: your first name, your email address, the service you're interested in and, if you wish, your message.
- Direct exchanges: information you choose to share with us by email or WhatsApp.
- Traffic statistics: if — and only if — you accept cookies, aggregated browsing data is collected via Google Analytics (pages visited, time on site, device type).
2. How we use it
Your information is used exclusively to:
- respond to your request and suggest the course path best suited to you;
- organize and deliver our French course services;
- improve the site using anonymous traffic statistics.
We never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not send you marketing communications without your consent.
3. Consent
By submitting the contact form, you consent to our using your information to process your request. Audience-measurement cookies are disabled by default: they are only set if you accept them via the banner provided for that purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see "Your rights").
4. Hosting and transfer outside Quebec
The site relies on technology providers whose servers may be located outside Quebec, notably in the United States:
- Netlify — site hosting and receipt of contact-form messages;
- Google — traffic statistics (only if you have consented).
Your information may therefore be stored outside Quebec. We limit what is transmitted to the strict minimum necessary.
5. Cookies
The site does not use any advertising cookies. Only one piece of information is stored locally in your browser: your response to the consent banner. Audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics) are only activated after you agree. You can change your choice at any time using the button at the bottom of this page.
6. Retention and security
We retain your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above; it is then securely destroyed. Access to it is limited to Ms. Adriana Vasques.
7. Your rights
You may, at any time:
- request access to the information we hold about you;
- request its correction or deletion;
- withdraw your consent.
